TriMas Corporation Warehouse Supervisor in Auburn, Indiana

Complies with all EHS activities and strictly adheres to all work instructions and safety procedures. Where necessary, makes recommendations to improve safety in the workplace.
Immediately reports any unsafe or unhealthy working conditions to manager/leadership.
Maintains high customer satisfaction levels through excellence in dispatching, identifying, receiving and ensuring quality of product being shipped and received.
Works with supervisor and human resources to observe disciplinary issues, attendance and performance of direct reports.
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Controls inventory levels by conducting daily cycle counts and reconciling with computer system.
Investigates inventory shortages, determines root causes, and creates action plans to prevent reoccurrences.
Executes quarterly floor stock cycle counts.
Maintains excellent physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results, directing and training employees.
Motivates team members to excel in daily activities.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks.
Contributes to team effort by rolling up sleeves to get the job done, when needed.
Maintains contingency plans for time sensitive operations (unscheduled absentees, customer issues, systems malfunctions, inventory exceptions, transport equipment issues).
Implements new methods, processes and improvements to the daily activities to improve performance.
Ensures the integrity of the business management system is maintained.
