We have an opening for a CSR/Personal Lines Insurance to join our team!

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing customer service to Personal Insurance clients. Provide insurance protection to new clients through the sale of insurance policies, as well as providing additional protection to existing customers. Provide professional advice to clients and prospects. Position requires interaction with clients, co-workers, and others by phone, fax, e-mail, mail and in person. Reports to the Personal Lines Team Leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional advice and review policy coverages with clients and prospects.

  • Quote, complete applications, bind, issue, and/or upload new policies for clients.

  • Cross-sell new policies for existing clients.

  • Take claim reports, report claims to companies, follow up with clients, resolve any claims issues.

  • Make changes to policies of existing clients as requested, either by phone or email.

  • Complete Replacement Cost Estimators for clients and assure proper coverage amounts

  • Provide information as needed to company underwriters, Mortgage companies, banks, dealerships, secretary of state, etc..

  • Call specialty markets for quotes as necessary

  • Review all renewals over 10% increase and rewrite policies for existing clients as necessary.

  • Maintain accuracy in system activities and documentation

  • Keep open activities up to date; zero back log is the goal

  • Return all messages and emails same day

  • Work with commercial and life/health producers to cross sell insurance.

  • Participate in departmental planning and complete special projects as requested

  • Participate in agency improvements committees as requested

  • Attend social and civic functions as a representative of Agency as requested.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent in education and experience, required

  • Minimum of 3+ years? experience in Property & Casualty or Life & Health is preferred but not required

  • Must possess active Property & Casualty License in good standing

Technology Skills:

  • Agency Management software experience, preferred

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
