ArcelorMittal USA Senior Engineer Quality Assurance Finishing in Burns Harbor, Indiana

As Senior Engineer in the Quality Assurance (Finishing) Division at ArcelorMittal, you will be part of a global team making steel that goes into products that are visible all around you. Responsibilities * Responsible for developing and/or improving processes and practices by conducting and reporting out on trials and data analysis * Projects and practice development activity requires interaction with operations, hourly personnel, other ArcelorMittal facilities, and research * Will be involved with Quality System maintenance and TS/QS/ISO audit preparation; including writing SPDs to document best practices, along with updating FMEAs and Control Plans * Responsible for assessing the capability to produce specific products, monitoring tensile properties on select products, and working to improve capability where most needed * Some projects or assignments include coil disposition * The QA Manager will also assign special project work Minimum/Basic Requirements: * Good communication skills, both oral and written, in advanced English. * Must be able to work in a team environment * Must have finishing process experience in a comparable role * A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or related study Preferred Requirements: * 5-8 years of Quality related experience in steel manufacturing. * Proficient in Minitab, PC SAS or comparable statistical software * Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering discipline * Proficient in Microsoft Access ArcelorMittal is the world's leading steel and mining company, with a presence in 60 countries and primary steelmaking facilities in 17 countries.
