Therma-Tru Doors Reliability Process Equipment Specialist in Butler, Indiana
The primary function of this role is to support the Reliability Process through elements of continuous improvement and follow up in order to address areas of sub-standard equipment availability and to support the more rigorous and formal approaches to the reliability process. This role also is responsible for ensuring that maintenance strategy standards created from the reliability process are adhered to and are adequate in order to meet equipment performance expectations.
Interacts with other departments such as maintenance, operations, and EH &S in order to manage asset performance or compliance to recognized safety or environmental guidelines or company policy.

Through Therma Tru’s maintenance & reliability software the SME will:
Track effectiveness of maintenance strategies implemented from the reliability process and creates reports documenting the measurable.
Capable of using EXP in order to analyze failure rate data and convert the data into the form of MTBF and MTBFF
Make recommendations to improve MTBF or MTBFF
MTBF = equipment is not available (aka downtime, end state or full failure)
MTBFF = equipment is capable of running (aka partial failure) but requires work to be done in order to avoid immanent End State failure
Analyze work completed on equipment in order to determine if the “right work at the right time” is being done.
Supports initiatives focused on Continuous Improvement, Planned Maintenance, and Autonomous Maintenance
Facilitates reliability process teams to develop and implement critical asset maintenance strategies when required
Works and collaborates with various departments to maintain specific targets, strategies, and tactics to maximize equipment availability.
Participates in formal reliability process initiatives when required
Provides input into maintenance work planning and scheduling on specific equipment
Acts as a second point of expertise for providing equipment knowledge to resolve reactive work problems
Successful candidates will have:
2 year technical degree or equivalent experience in developing RBM maintenance strategies preferred
Previous Reliability Process facilitation experience a plus
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) status a plus
Use of computer with Microsoft office suite programs (Word, Excel, & Power Point)
Ability to work in a cross functional team environment
Ability to drive change
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of CMMS and Reliability Process software preferred
