ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: ABOUT COLUMBUS REGIONAL HEALTH:# We are the largest hospital in Southeastern Indiana serving a 10 county region.#33 Bed Emergency Department, 18 Bed Advanced#technology#Critical Care Unit, 4 Renowned centers:#Wound Care,#Heart and Vascular Care, Lung Center, Cardiac Cath Lab.#Columbus Regional Hospital also includes a#Community Health center, Outpatient Lab and Anticoagulation center.# ABOUT THE ROLE: Experience working with a multi-disciplinary health care team providing coordination of pulmonary medical and ancillary services for out-patients in a clinic and in-patients in the critical care unit.# Knowledge of working with Cerner or Epic preferred. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with Physicians and staff members to provide comprehensive health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with potential or actual health needs. The Nurse Practitioner utilizes an expanded knowledge base of pathophysiology, physiology, and pharmacology to guide critical thinking skills, advanced clinical decision-making skills, and performing advanced procedures. The Nurse Practitioner may be involved in education, consultation, and research. Provides general medical care and treatment to patients in collaboration with the physician based on established protocol, standing orders and practice guidelines. Education and/or Experience Graduate of an approved school of nursing required. Master#s Degree in Nursing required. Minimum of one year#s experience in an inpatient setting required. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Active unlimited license from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practical Nursing required. A current registered nurse licensure in the state of Indiana is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) required. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner required.
