Summary/Objective

This role is responsible for directing the strategy, maintenance, design, security and data integrity of the human resource IT infrastructure. This role will optimize infrastructure across the organization and ensure needs and growth are accommodated. S/he will assist with designing, implementing and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure directly and indirectly associated with the HRIS and timekeeping tools. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining the relationship between IT and the technical HR team, participate in planning and process development for related to HR systems and IT.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a system administrator and oversee system planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. Includes implementation of system enhancements such as self-service functionality, upgrades, patches and testing new features to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Oversee day-to-day relationships with vendors and HR/IT partners to ensure service levels are met and issues are addressed proactively as well as shared system feeds and integrations are aligned and maintained.

  • Manage and resolve escalated and/or complex system issues with internal partners and vendor. Provide technical support to team members regarding system/service functionality and guide them on technical processes to answer questions and troubleshoot issues.

  • Partner cross-functionally to develop and document business requirements for solutions that will optimize HR processes and enhance company operations.

  • Utilize HRIS to maintain audit-ready employee data and manage PTO, time tracking, onboarding, and offboarding processes

  • Work with Identity and Access engineers to maintain data imports between HRIS and IAM systems

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of standard and/or customized reports, managerial dashboards, and executive scorecards. Provide timely and actionable decision support information.

  • Establish auditing protocols and conduct regular data audits to ensure system integrity. Identify discrepancies and mitigate issues by leveraging HR/IT resources and/or developing policies and procedures for system governance.

  • Collaborate with HR team leaders to create, refine, enforce policies and procedures regarding HR’s technology use.

  • Stay abreast of IT best practices and implement solutions to optimize system performance.

  • Maintain system Security roles and groups to ensure users are assigned proper security roles

  • Assist the Corp HR team with acquisition onboarding as needed

Working Conditions

Qualifications/Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience and/or education

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience managing and maintaining IT systems

  • Experience with managing UltiPro Software preferred

  • Experience with data system preferred

  • Experience troubleshooting and deploying servers and user devices

  • Understanding of fundamental IT security and compliance practices around PII

  • Ability to interface with team members from various job levels; C-Suite Executives to Professional Contributors

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth company preferred

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full time, 40-50 hours per week expected.

Travel

Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time.
