Description and Responsibilities
The Accounting/Administrative Assistant is located in Evansville, IN, and reports into the Plant Controller. This is a plant within our Meat division and has around 130 employees, union facility and runs 24/7. The general responsibilities include:
Receptionist – Answer phones and greet visitors
Accounts Payable – Monitor DFM cases, enter purchase orders and goods received notes in IPO system. Follow up with vendor on issues. Reconcile corporate consolidated invoices.
Inventory – Reconcile and key production and usage for manufacturing orders. Assist inventory control staff as needed.
Payroll – Process payroll on Mondays. Complete labor report, garnishments and union dues. Sort and distribute checks weekly.
Order office supplies, filing and other general clerical duties.
High school diploma required, Associate's degree a plus
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting/administrative position
Demonstrated success multi-tasking and managing competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Proven ability to work independently
Attention to detail, critical thinking skills and process improvement identification
Manufacturing industry or food industry experience preferred
