What you will be doing This position provides uninterrupted electrical service to the service areaResponsible foroperating safely, efficiently andwithin environmental parametersMonitors and operates power plant equipment associated with steam generator and auxiliary systemsRecords operating parametersSome duties of the positioninclude the following: Operating valvesStarting and stopping rotating equipmentRunning fly ash and dumping pyritesMonitoring and maintaining lubricating systemsPerforming simple maintenance using hand toolsIssuing and picking up lock-out/tag-out clearancesActing as a first responder to environmental spillsGeneral plant housekeeping activitiesPosition involves working twelve-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtimeVEVRAA Federal ContractorEqual Opportunity Employerminorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
