Patient Care Technician (PCT)

  • Location: Ascension St. Vincent Evansville, IN

  • Department: Nursing Resource Center (NRC)

  • PRN (non-benefited position)

Commitment Levels available:

  • Silver - 72 hours per 6 week schedule

  • Blue - 144 hours per 6 week schedule

  • Gold - 216 hours per 6 week schedule

*The more hours you are able to commit to, the higher the base rate of pay will be.

What You Will Do

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid with movement and placement of patients.

  • Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.

  • Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.

  • Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Preferences

6 months of patient care experience is preferred.
