The Role at a Glance

Our Group Protection IT organization is hiring! We are looking to hire a new Associate Software Engineer for our Correspondence Team. This is a great opportunity for a developer with 1-3 years of experience, an aptitude for learning new technologies, that loves solving problems by developing technical solutions.

Background Details:

You will consult, analyze and deliver application development assignments for the Correspondence Team within Group Protection IT Customer Implementation Services. You will work in an agile sprint fashion, delivering customized correspondence requests and providing post production support. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing team in an exciting and fast paced environment!

What you'll be doing?
  • You will analyze, design, code, test, integrate, and implement software application solutions

  • You’ll work in a collaborative environment with internal stakeholders and IT to develop and understand requirements and expectations to achieve quality technical solutions

  • Define and manage development tasks, dependencies and work estimates

  • You will document programs and procedures

  • Participate in requirements, design and coding walkthroughs

  • Identify opportunities and support innovative solutions

What we're looking for?

Must Haves:

  • 1-3+ years experience in application development with object oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.

  • 1-3 years experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Sybase or MSSQL.

  • General familiarity with Git.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience

Nice to haves:

  • Oracle Documaker

  • General knowledge of the following: SQL Stored Procedures, SSIS, Access VBA, XML
