Aerotek Carpenter in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Description:

This individual should expect to be working inside around both new construction and finishing projects. Individuals should expect to get dirty on the job site. Our client does design, project management, and building. Individuals should come in with the expectation that they will do a little of everything. They will have a part in DAILY clean up of the job site as well as set up, Framing, Doors, Hardware, drywall, metal studs, flooring, cabinetry work, trim work, counter tops, etc. They will start off in a carpentry role, but there is room for advancement into foremen roles, superintendent roles, and Project Management roles.

Skills:

Carpentry

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MH:

  • 2-10 Years commercial construction experience

  • Knowledge in concrete, framing, metal studs, acoustical ceilings, etc.

  • Read blueprints

  • Own hand tools (Larger, or pneumatic tools will be provided as needed, not for personal use)

WBN:

  • Leadership experience

HOURS:

M-F, 7am-3:30-pm, Some Saturdays as needed

Working straight 40's right now, and OT as needed.

ATTIRE:

Work Boots, Jeans and T-Shirt. No holes in Jeans, No holes in shirts, Shirts have to have sleeves.

TRAVEL:

Will be home every night and weekend, most jobs are within 60 Miles of FW. Have done jobs further out, but not the norm. On contract this individual will stay local to Allen county.
