Job Summary

Under the immediate direction of the Environmental Services Specialist, assists the Specialist with the day-to-day operations and supervision of environmental services operations for an assigned shift, assuring the cleaning, room setup, and waste disposal needs of hospital customers are met.

Qualifications

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications

Licensure: None required.

Experience: Two years experience in the field of environmental services or at least two years supervisory experience in day-to-day operations. Effectively perform all functions of the staff being supervised (or have completed necessary training for Tech II responsibilities).

Education: High School education or equivalent preferred.

Other: Demonstrates the ability to:

Utilize leadership skills that demonstrate team work, group cohesion and group achievement.

Utilize a strong working knowledge of environmental services operations.

Perform duties utilizing a working knowledge of established policies and procedures.

Effectively utilize staffing, supplies and equipment used in environmental services operations.

Work without direct supervision.

Communicate orally and in writing, using a good command of the English language.

Effectively perform all functions of the staff being supervised.
