YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne Summer Middle School Day Camp - Parkview YMCA in Fort Wayne, Indiana
The Parkview Family YMCA is seeking part-time Middle School Summer Camp Counselors that are enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and compassionate with a strong desire to positively impact the lives of middle school students.
Under the supervision of the Youth and Family Director, the Middle School Summer Camp Counselors lead fun, creative, engaging activities as well as community service projects for middle school students participating in summer day camp at Parkview Family YMCA.
Successful leadership in this position is defined as growth in student participation and quality enrichment, sound adherence to defined safety and day camp standards, and positive feedback from parents.
PAY RATE DETAILS
Starting Pay: $9.25
Hours Available: at Parkview Family YMCA 10001 Dawsons Creek Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825:
Camp runs June 1st through August 6th
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Employment is for 37.5 - 39 hours a week, for 9-10 weeks;
Mandatory training in late May

Minimum of 21 years of age.
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Reliable transportation to attend work.
Valid drivers license, able to drive students to activities.
Good communication, accounting, and organizational skills.
Warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor able to connect quickly with middle school students and their parents.
Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as a middle school summer camp counselor.
Positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse groups of people in regard to age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.
Team player willing to contribute to the culture, mission, and values of the YMCA
- Free individual membership at all YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne facilities (Allen, Whitley, Wells counties); part-time staff have the opportunity for a small cost to add additional eligible members.
