Responsibilities include:

  • Lead design responsibilities include responsibility for the architecture/creation of wireless embedded control solutions.

  • Selection and design implementation of all types of RF/wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, BLE, ZigBee, LoRa, etc.…)

  • Develop embedded C and embedded Linux.

  • Capable of working both individually and as part of a diverse team of mechanical, software and systems engineering competencies in a cohesive effort to deliver new and innovative products.

  • Lead small/medium product development projects from concept to delivery.

  • Provide design expertise in the implementation of high-speed and wireless designs.

  • Drive coordination and support with our validation, test, and manufacturing engineers during the New Product Introduction development process.

  • Engagement with the broader engineering team to support current production designs including quality improvements, cost reduction, and component obsolescence and failure analysis

  • Less than 10% travel to support program engineering and electronics manufacturing objectives.

Education / Certifications

  • BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with design of electronic circuits and components.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Strong functional knowledge of electronic components and circuits design including microprocessors, microcontrollers, and RF Transceivers.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is preferred).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prototyping skills

  • Working knowledge of hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART)

  • Experience with hardware debugging and test equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)

  • Knowledge of schematic capture, PCB layout, Cadence knowledge is a plus.

  • Design experience with ARM controllers and Microchip processors is a plus.

  • Having both Software development skills and Hardware development skills is a plus.

  • Experience with EMI and EMC design for robustness techniques for our globally sold products

  • Understanding of high volume electronic assembly processes to optimize manufacturing in our global manufacturing footprint

  • Understanding of certification requirements and validation techniques of RF products.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and global team members.

  • Proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
