SQA Coordinator, Frankfort, IN PlantIndiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is a fully integrated retail, food-service and private label producer of fresh and processed meats company. We currently have processing facilities in Frankfort, Indiana, Holland, Michigan, and Owensboro, Kentucky.With 3,100+ team members and more than $1.5B in annual sales, we are a big company with a small company culture.This position is the key Food Safety and Quality Assurance position for the Frankfort fabrication facility. The successful candidate will fully engage and assure compliance for key tasks relating to USDA regulatory, HACCP, SQF, sanitation, and pest control programs and compliance. The Coordinator will report directly to the site Plant Manager, with dotted line reporting to the Director of FSQA at the Delphi plant. The Coordinator will report regularly on the status of the Frankfort programs.Responsibilities:-Lead compliance for the site's HACCP plan including daily document review, Pre-Shipment tasks, and maintaining HACCP data-Enforce, monitor, and document compliance to GMPs-Verify effectiveness of sanitation program, pre-operational inspection, and master sanitation schedule-Conduct and oversee microbial testing on product and contact surfaces-Design and oversee quality audits on incoming raw material and finished products-Manage and provide training and training materials for site employees executing FSQA tasks-Assure site compliance to SQF code and actively conduct internal SQF audits-Manage scheduling with 3rd party pest control provider and assess service reports-Prepare and present weekly reports on FSQA performance and trends-Work alternative hours and shifts, as necessary, in order to observe processes on all shiftsRequired Qualifications:-Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Biology, or related field-Experience in a USDA meat facility, preferred (1-3 years)-HACCP and SQF certifications, preferredQualifications and Skills:-Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well with coworkers onsite and at different site locations with assertive and respectful style-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision-Resourceful and self-motivated-Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word.
