Responsibilities include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role is located in the Greencastle, Indiana, and it is a full-time employment opportunity. Key responsibilities

  • Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are properly executed

  • Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Drive Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P&L forecasting

  • Compile and monitor forecasting reports

  • Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

  • Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information

  • Ensure business partners handle their resources by tracking monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations

  • Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date

  • Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • 3+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

  • Solid understanding of AS400

  • Foundational knowledge in Monthly Flash Report

  • Earlier work involving Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Bill of materials (BOM) experience highly desired

  • QAD experience required

  • Practical knowledge of Inventory Variance

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Adjusting Journal Entries

  • General familiarity with month end closings

  • Adeptness in journal entries

  • Background working with account reconciliation

  • Monthly Variance Analysis experience highly preferred

  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel

  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience ideal)
