We are seeking a nurse to join our patient care team in the role of Adult Clinic/Triage Nurse (RN) who will share time between telephone triage and clinic.

Job Duties: Telephone triage duties include:

  • Conduct telephone and written contact with patients

  • Monitor infusion data reports and discussing /implementing appropriate interventions with patients

  • Coordinate care within the multidisciplinary team

  • Some data collection

    Clinic duties include:

  • Checki vitals, conduct lab draws and conduct intake exams

  • Perform anticoagulation management for patients receiving finger stick INRs

  • Care for patients receiving infusions for fluids, iron, factor and therapeutic phlebotomy

  • Coordinate plan of care for bleeding disorder patients scheduled for surgery

  • Assist with bone marrow biopsy

  • Assist with ongoing projects, research and reports for specified populations

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana

  • Minimum Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Bacehlor's preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience is required

  • Experience with IVs, ports, PICC lines, central line catheters, and peripheral IVs preferred

  • Ability to think critcially, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to manage multiple things at once

  • Prior experience with the rare and complex hematological conditions we treat is not expected; in depth, initial and ongoing hands-on training is provided.
