This is not your run-of-the-mill assembly line position. Our Assembly Technicians are highly skilled and what we manufacture varies from the Nuclear, Aerospace, Defense and Energy markets. The following experiences and skills are desirable traits and experiences, but are not required. We provide on the job training for the ideal candidate.i Day shift or second shift options may be available.Experience/Skillsi Be able read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished component.ii Mechanically inclined, experienced in using power tools and hand tools.i Should have the willingness to help throughout the shop when needed.i Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.i Have a positive attitude and able to work under pressure.i Should be a self-starter, have the ability to multi-taski Must have good work ethic and attendance.Technical Detailsi Use torque wrenches and understand torque methods and sequencing.i Use precision measuring instruments.i Install thread inserts, keenserts, fasteners and dowel pins.i Perform material handling functions using fork trucks, overhead cranes, etc.i Show top-notch craftsmanship in all aspects of the job.i Gather and enter data into Quality system accurately.ii Ensure tasks are executed in the most effective manner regarding time, cost and function.i Work in a team atmosphere and communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities campus-wide.Educational or Previous Work ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED with Vocational school education or at least one year of full-time employment in an industrial setting.Excellent Benefits including: Health, Dental and Vision insurance options, Onsite Health and Wellness Center, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401k, Paid Time Off (PTO), 10 paid Holidays, Life Insurance, Voluntary Life for dependents, Educational Assistance, Short and Long Term Disability Insurance.
