Billing Support Specialist

Location: Remote – need to be located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone

Requirements: Need to have your own landline or cell to use for business and WIFI – these can’t be expensed. Be able to work at home 40 hours a week.

Kelly will provide laptop, monitor and headset.

Hours: 7-4 OR 8-5pm

Rate: $17/hr

Length: 1+year – can be ongoing assignment

Contract position with Kelly OCG (Outsource Consulting Group). You will receive benefits including, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, paid vacation, holidays and sick time.

Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Services Billing Support Specialist, you will provide effective and responsive support to the Local Customer Team and business in activities related to on demand (out of scope) billing. On demand billing includes: Reviewing service reports for proper documentation before billing, ensuring what is being billed is in compliance with the contract working with the local team to provide education and correction on documentation, providing regular feedback on status of how much has billed each week, and identifying opportunities for the customer related to better decision making to control costs where applicable, etc. Responsibilities will be broad and changeable in nature ranging from coordinating zone or Region billing initiatives or leading special projects.

Responsibilities .

  • Proactively support internal customers by independently handling all assigned duties and taking direction from and balancing the needs of multiple organizations.

  • Audit & analyze service records in the pre-bill environment to ensure accuracy and proper documentation before an ODS invoice is generated and sent to our customers.

  • Manage customer accounts assigned to include understanding and interpreting customer contractual agreements related to ODS billing for accurate billing

  • Communicate with Field teams on the guidelines for proper completion of customer service repairs to include labor rate, parts pricing, vendor billing, and proper failure, action, and summary notes, as needed.

  • Support and actively engage in Region ODS revenue generation, by monitoring various contract requirements (i.e. PM only, Limited call, usage, blocks, etc.,), billing & documentation accuracy, and ensuring proper rates and terms are applied before it invoices.

  • Run reports in excel, access, and other data gathering programs. Provide tactical support to a function or P&L by answering questions on various internal processes and e-tools.

  • Lead improvements in timely closure and billing of Billable service records. Reduce billable aging to under 30 days by collaborating with DOS & Field Teams.

  • Drive visibility to closed service records that did not transition to the billing tool due to improper documentation or validating that the reason for not billing meets laws and compliance rules.

  • Collaborate with DOS & Field Teams to drive part exchange returns.

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or local equivalent

  • Associates degree or equivalent and 3 years of experience working in a corporate or service environment or 5 years or more of experience working in a service or corporate environment at a senior level.

  • Strong demonstrated writing skills, articulating complex ideas in an easy to understand manner.

  • Highly detailed-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience at an advanced level using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications as well as use of the internet and web applications, plus basic level of Excel application to create charts, diagrams and Pivot tables

  • General knowledge and understanding of what terms and conditions (T&C’s) are as it relates to a contract.

  • Time management skills to be able to adjust to spikes in work load. OT may be required at times.

  • Able to work independently to determine or develop the appropriate procedures to apply.
