**ALL INTERNSHIPS WILL BE VIRTUAL FOR SUMMER 2021
The Pi Data Solutions Intern will be responsible for supporting the Provider Insights team in supporting the Health Economics team by providing data and information that accurately demonstrate provider performance and provides actionable insights more efficiently, and at a faster time to market, while continuously improving the quality of information with the goal of helping to ensure affordable medical costs for our consumers.
Primary responsibilities include supporting Pi Data Solutions team members to:
Run SAS or Python and SQL reports
Profile data for data integrity or enhancement analysis
Improve the efficiency of data production
Add enhancements to improve the value of the data we provide
Provide ad-hoc analysis or query consultation to our internal customers
Document the workflow and information provided
Perform other functions as requested
Examples of projects for this role:
Update team Sharepoint for current process flows and metadata
Rewrite SAS jobs into Python for new jobs against Snowflake
Write simple SQL queries to profile data from the data warehouse or data labs
Modify advanced queries to add columns to data/reports
Qualifications
Pursuing a BS/BA degree in Business, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or other related degrees
Interest to specialize and further develop a career in Analytics
Some coursework or experience in SAS/Python/R or other related languages preferred
Some coursework or experience in SQL preferred
Experience with MS Office required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills
This internship is from June to August and is 40 hours per week in a virtual setting
Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university during internship
Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
