Danaher Corporation DBSL - Continuous Improvement Leader in Indianapolis, Indiana

This individual will serve as the Materials DBS Leader and will be responsible for driving the rigor and focused problem-solving culture in the organization as well as troubleshooting material availability problems, resolving & eliminating the root cause of problems in the supply chain, and communicating supply issues to internal customers.

  • Create, improve, and deploy of Materials Management continuous improvement processes, and tools, primarily DMS elements.

  • Dynamic Kanban and Supplier Management

  • Inventory Management at Gemba

  • Problem Solving and Daily Management

  • Drive improvement in the operations using DBS tools. Work with Plant leadership to drive installation and sustainment of results from the use of the processes and tools.

  • Set process, expectations, and deploy into the Materials organization to optimize inventory and achieve OTD targets.

  • Collaborate with other business key priorities and initiatives to ensure the operations engine/system is producing the greatest results for the business.

  • Support the operations leadership to resolve innovative best practices in materials productivity. Provide feedback/guidance on how to maximize/optimize processes and results by incorporating these best practices and problem-solving.

  • Be the center of knowledge (brain trust) for thematic /systemic problem solving, approaches, and best practices, build a library of standard methodologies, and share across the materials team. Engage leaders and resources through training and communication plans and other activities to push and inspire their thinking and results. Build a strong network and community among operations leaders and associates.

  • Develop strategies to improve current supply chain business processes.

  • Write or revise standard operating procedures.

  • Review procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.

  • Inventory variance analysis and process improvements.

  • This is an individual contributor with no direct reports; however, we need an influencer to drive the team towards the common goal or target.


  • Bachelor degree required and 9+ years of proven track record.

  • Or MS degree and 7+ years of shown experience, Operations or Business preferred.

  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification Preferred.


  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

  • Experience with lean concepts/tools such as VSM, Kanban, and Kaizen.

  • Understanding of production flow principles and processes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a communication style that will engage all levels and types of people.

  • Good written, oral, and presentation skills (communication).

  • Strong Project Management Skills.

  • Leadership capability!

  • Problem-solving and validated business decision-making skills.

  • Planning and organizational ability.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Results orientated!

  • Good team player with passion, customer focus, a confirmed sense of urgency to resolve conflicts as they arise, & the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
