Goodwill Indy Human Resources Business Partner in Indianapolis, Indiana
The Human Resources Business Partner provides business and human resources consulting and analysis to each division. Partners with directors, managers, and supervisors to ensure the culture of Goodwill and its mission is fulfilled through the assessment, identification, development and implementation of EOD programs that will support management in providing an effective, principles-based environment for employees to work to their highest potential and meet the business goals of the department. Acts as the HR lead for an assigned territory.
Provides employee relations support (receipt of complaints, leads investigations, ensures concerns are resolved timely and in line with standards).
Consults on employee disciplinary action processes (performance improvement plans, performance discussions, and review/support of potential termination proceedings).
Provides support for all territory legal proceedings applicable to HR (EEO, DOL, etc.).
Supports territory talent and performance management initiatives.
Supports territory compensation and benefits initiatives.
Provides territory talent acquisition support (recruiting and interview support).
Member of project team for HR projects and initiatives.
Provides HR training to management as well as management coaching and advising.
Becomes an operational subject matter expert in assigned territory.
Drives career-pathing and succession planning exercise support.
Provides territory on-boarding support to ensure new employees are on-boarded effectively.
Supports assigned territory with employee leave guidance and accommodation process management.
Coordinates HR change initiatives (organizational, divisional, team-based).
Responsible for regular communication of current initiatives and status updates with field leadership.
Responsible for facilitation of Human Resource workshops and sponsored events in assigned territory.
Participate as HR subject matter expert to support all HR initiatives.
Provides and interprets employee analytics to leadership.
Leads and executes discrimination and harassment investigations.
Assists with manager self-service function inside of Workday.
Bachelor’s degree in business and/or HR-related field and 3 years of experience.
Knowledge of unemployment processes and experience attending hearings a plus.
Previous experience analyzing and interpreting various reports including P&L a plus.
Experience developing business strategy with an HR focus to affect the bottom line (e.g. turnover, employee relations, hourly staffing, training and development).
PHR certification preferred.
Proficient computer skills. Word, Excel, Gmail, PowerPoint, Workday HRIS, Lessonly LMS, and Domo are the tools utilized.
Follows direction while demonstrating initiative; understands how to effectively seek out and research information to complete work.
Effective personal and team time-management skills; deadline driven.
Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
Effective at multitasking, flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities and schedules.
A valid driver’s license and insured vehicle for local travel is required.
