POSITION SUMMARYThe Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and working closely with the HR Director to support HR programs for Amphenol Piezo Technology Products group (Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies and Piezo Technologies). This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, policy administration and employment law compliance.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESRecruit exempt and nonexempt personnel. Prepare and post approved Job Requisitions. Review resumes and prescreen applicant experience for specific job-related requirements. Schedule interviews for hiring managers.Prepare job offers for approval and conduct background screening.Conduct new-employee orientation and facilitate organizational development efforts. Administer annual compliance training plan.Create and maintain employee personnel files and documents.Update HRIS database records and process paperwork for new hires, terminations and other status changes.Maintain and process Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.Run reports and complete EEO-1 and VETS-4212 annually for management review and filing; maintain applicant and current employee EEO records.Assist with benefit administration including processing enrollments, cancellation or QLE changes. Assist with annual open enrollment process and communications.Assist manager with administering the annual Performance Process and merit planning. Distribute and monitor employee performance evaluations ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.Keep manager informed of discipline issues and assist with coaching managers prior to executing employee disciplinary actions.Monitor attendance reports and ensure proper disciplinary documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness and absenteeism.Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of departmental operations.Administer and coordinate employee recognition events and programs.Conduct exit interviews, analyze data and make recommendations to manager for corrective action and continuous improvement.Assist with maintaining company organization charts and the employee directory.Coordinate and schedule plant meetings, GM Lunches and management meetings as needed reserving space and handling special accommodations.Assist manager with special projects.Perform other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience/Background:Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources or related field.HRCI or SHRM Certified Professional credentials preferred.Minimum of five (5) years of HR experience in a Generalist role.Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing industry experience.Occasional travel to the Maryland office for team collaboration and training purposes required.Skills:Strong interpersonal skills capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organizationStrong conflict management skills and ability to assist employees to resolve problems.Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, to meet deadlinesAbility to understand and follow specific instructions and proceduresAbility to make oral presentationsAbility to gather data, to compile information and prepare reportsProficient with Microsoft Applications and database management tools ENVIRONMENTAL and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSIncumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
