Description: An HVAC Technician job in Indianapolis, IN, is currently available through Belcan with one of our key manufacturing clients. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting delivery of maintenance and/or upgrades to existing customer-owned equipment or installation of new equipment. This is a long-term contract opportunity in a very visible role with a cutting edge manufacturing company.
HVAC Technician Job duties:
Conduct repetitive tests on multiple indoor and outdoor HVAC unit testing apparatuses
Support receipt of equipment shipments and split system inventory management
Perform installation, setup and instrumentation of split systems in lab test rooms as needed
Modify/fabricate test units and setups as directed by responsible lab technicians and engineers
Qualifications:
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while managing multiple priorities
Proven capacity to self-direct/motivate with a vision toward future goals
Intermediate level computer skills with Microsoft suite and other software as needed
Strong electronic communication skills - comfortable using email and instant messaging for regular business communications
Ability to identify basic HVAC system issues and communicate with teammates
Mechanical Aptitude - use of basic hand tools in a lab environment
Electrical Aptitude - electrical/electronic knowledge, able to read basic wiring diagrams and use a Volt/Ohm meter
Ability to comprehend and comply with EH&S practices & policies and ethics practices
Experience working in a team and matrix environment
