Delta Faucet Company has an awesome opportunity for an Internal Controls Analyst to join our Finance Team!

As a subsidiary of a publicly traded company, we are required to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. This position will assist with maintaining documentation and testing of all internal control processes at Delta Faucet. This position also assists with various other internal audit related projects beyond Sarbanes-Oxley compliance including but not limited to operational audits, financial statement audits, process improvements, etc.

This position requires self-motivation in finding answers and proposing solutions and maintaining a high level of accuracy and credibility in the work that they perform. The position will allow the individual to gain cross-functional knowledge of the overall business. This person must stay updated with changing regulatory requirements related to SOX compliance and GAAP requirements. As a company, we are required to comply with the SOX Act which necessitates management to establish and maintain an adequate internal control structure as well as report on the adequacy of those internal controls over financial reporting. As part of this effort, the position will assist in the performance of ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) audits that review the adequacy and effectiveness of our internal controls environment, which includes working with process and control owners.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Assist with maintaining the Internal Controls Assessment Program (iCap) including review of narrative documentation, annual risk assessment / audit planning, and record retention responsibilities.

  • Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting by performing audit procedures in accordance with audit objectives and audit programs.

  • Document processes and work performed with clarity and conciseness, grammatical and spelling accuracy.

  • Develop conclusions based on objective evidence and formulate recommendations to address control weaknesses.

  • Act as a lead to the cross-functional ICFR Self-Testing Team by executing annual training, preparing reference material, and providing ongoing guidance.

  • Provide visible leadership, proactive support, and guidance to process owners

  • Assist with other internal control projects relevant to the business.

Education and Experience/Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting from a four-year college or university. A minimum of 2-3 years of related financial experience in public accounting or internal audit is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A working knowledge of financial and operational audit principles and GAAP, an understanding of business processes, and Sarbanes-Oxley experience is preferred. Previous experience with SAP is a plus as is previous experience in testing IT environment controls. Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and must have the ability to effectively handle problems that are varied and non-repetitive. The candidate must have the ability to independently work on assigned projects, effectively time-manage completion dates, and make sound auditor judgment with a high standard of ethics under moderate to minimal level of direct supervision. This position should have an above average aptitude in Excel. Must possess highly developed communication skills including ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and maintain confidentiality.
