As an Investment Accounting Manager, the qualified candidate will manage operations and accounting work for one or more of a wide array of investment types, including hedge funds, private equity funds, family offices and/or private banks.Job Responsibilities:* Evaluate legal documents to determine appropriate setup and procedures* Produce and communicate end-investor investment information* Monitor and process bank/broker activity in a timely fashion* Perform portfolio accounting for diverse asset classes* Complete accounting work for a variety of private equity fund structures* Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients* Prepare fund and investor-level financial statements with investment performance returns* Participate in the preparation of audit and tax data requests* Troubleshoot and problem-solve complex accounting issues* Assist with the interview and hiring process for interns and full time employees* Participate in the performance management and training for those on your team* Serve as final escalation point for unresolved client interactions* Participate in periodic site visits to meet new fund administration clients* Partner with Director of Finance and Operations on new client planning and process improvement* Maintain constant awareness of client statuses, and prioritize and delegate work as needed Position Requirements* Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required* Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field required* Minimum of 2 years experience in leadership role required* CPA/CAIA or working towards CPA/ CAIA certification preferred* Strong knowledge of GAAP and reporting standards* Ability to communicate professionally and effectively* Ability to work both collaboratively and independently* Patience and willingness to serve as trainer and mentor for new hires* Emphasis on organizational skills and the ability to multi-task* Rigorous attention to detail* Highly self-motivatedAbout SEI AFOSEI AFO is a full-service provider of fund administration and outsourced accounting solutions to emerging fund managers and private wealth management firms.
