Aerotek Kit Packer in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description:

The position is for a kit packer for Schenker Logistics. Candidates will be placing Dahua camera parts from the warehouse and into packages to be shipped. Parts will be brought to packing associates and dropped off from the picking associates. They will read work orders and put appropriate quantity of items in each shipment to be packed. They will reading long item numbers to confirm part numbers, item numbers contain letters and numbers and candidates need to be detailed orientated. Packages are mainly small but could range from 5-10lbs to 40-50+lbs. They will be using AS-400 WMS and using Fedex, UPS and an in house shipping platforms (world wide ship). Data will be tracked and entered into computers and need to be comfortable and efficient on a computer. They will not be operating a forklift but could be trained on the forklift.

Looking for someone who has previous packing experience from a manufacturing/distribution environment.

Once hired on they may begin using a forklift so that experience would be beneficial.

Nice to Have: * AS-400 WMS experience * Forklift experience

This will be a M-F position, from 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional mandatory OT and could work 10 hour shifts or Saturdays. Will give at least a day notice on OT.

Pay: $16-$16.50/hr (depends on experience) *They will receive a .50 cent raise once brought on direct IF they started at $16/hr. *They will be eligible for yearly raises. They will be reviewed on their KPI's and receive a % increase based on how well they did)
