The Legal Specialist will be responsible for providing legal support services for one or more states or functions and/or for routine litigation through a variety of legal assignments and projects which utilize knowledge specific to the company.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares, analyzes and evaluates legal documents, memorandum, reports, and/or filings.

  • Prepares and organizes case research, notes, and legal documents.

  • Conducts legal research and analysis, and recommends appropriate course of action and next steps.

  • Performs fact checking, gathers documents, researches and responds to subpoenas and record requests and assists with investigative and discovery activities and processes. Monitors state and federal legislation affecting the corporation.

  • Assists with regulatory governance and compliance issues, corporate governance issues, and and/or filings and licensing. Identifies required information for databases or other document management systems.

  • Assists with projects.

Requires

  • High school diploma.

  • 2 years of legal or related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field preferred.
