The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is currently seeking a well-organized and motivated Medical Administrative Front Office Specialist who is looking to grow in their career. The Front Desk Specialist will oversee the lobby area and ensure a positive experience for all visitors. The ideal Front Desk Coordinator will be passionate about providing high quality administrative support and be committed to professionalism. Are you outgoing, friendly, and flexible? Then we have a position for you. The Front Desk Coordinator role is based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Personable, energetic and welcoming in greeting of patients and family members in person and by telephone. - Collect accurate patient information for medical electronic charting by answering 2 phone lines, voice messages, electronic appt. requests, faxes. - Scheduling patient appointments, surgeries, lab testing, etc., verifying insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirements. - Checking patients in and out of medical specialty office. - Fully capable and comfortable with collecting monies due, face-to-face and over the phone. - Effectively manage/schedule new and established patients, inquiries and patient needs. - Ordering and stocking supplies and equipment. - Pitch in when and where needed, additional duties as assigned - be a team player! - Assure a happy, clean, orderly and functioning work environment. - Exceptional organizational and time management skills a must. - Accurate data entry, math and spelling skills a must. - Ability to multitask effectively. - Manage patient questions constructively with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
