We are seeking a RN to serve in Indianapolis.Medical Records CoordinatorThe Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of maintaining and protectingorganization clinical records including the management of the clinical records team.Job duties of this rewarding position include:Manages all daily clinical records functions including establishing and implementing clinical recordspolicies.Ensures clinical record systems are maintained in compliance with state, federal and ACHCregulations.Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of state, federal, and ACHC documentation regulationsand serves as a resource for appropriate organization personnel.Protects all clinical records through the establishment and implementation of control procedures for allopen and closed records.Protects the confidentiality of patient and organization information through effective controls anddirect supervision of clinical records.Forwards copies of clinical records to authorized users according to policy.Completes an administrative record audit following patient discharge and forwards the record to theClinical Director for clinical audit.Monitors aged unsigned physician orders and submits second and third requests for signed orders tooverdue physicians, calls or visits the offices of seriously overdue physicians.Supervises the use of the clinical records information system and maintains a comprehensive workingknowledge of the system including upgrades and enhancements.Recruits, selects, orients, and manages members of the clinical records team.Manages the members of the clinical record team to ensure accurate and prompt filing and retrieval ofclinical records.Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with patients, family members, payers andreferral sources.Protects the confidentiality of patient and organization information through effective controls anddirect supervision of billing operations.Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our clients, family members, customers and staff.Complies with the companys privacy practices/procedures and all state/federal privacy laws as outlined byHIPAA related to client and employee records, to include but not limited to information accessed through anycompany web-based system and/or electronic medical records.Demonstrates teamwork and prompt and regular attendance to work to ensure that quality care and services areprovided to the clients we serve.Complies with and adheres to the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by theBloodborne P
