The Payroll Lead reports directly to the Sr Payroll Director and has an active role in processing accurate and timely payroll for Apria employees. This employee will serve as liaison between payroll and various other departments such as Accounting, Treasury, Legal and Apria’s external payroll vendor ADP, as well government agencies to resolve issues/discrepancies that arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes bi-weekly and weekly payroll and ensures timely and accurate payments to employees.
Calculates and prepares manual checks
Performs audits and runs reports to ensure accuracy of payroll processing.
Interfaces with external vendors regarding tax and garnishment issues.
Administration of benefit related plans and funding.
Administration and liaison between disability management team and eTime systems.
Administration and liaison between benefits team and HR system for direct bill process.
Monitors tax and garnishment correspondence and determines action required.
Generates and provides Finance various reports/interfaces, such as periodic tax, garnishment, payroll funding and GL reports.
Processes Garnishment setup with ADP and maintains correspondence including garnishment verifications.
May prepares required payroll tax filings, if necessary.
Trains and oversees payroll staff as needed.
Assists Sr. Director with ongoing department projects.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of 7 years of payroll experience.
Education and experience to a four-year degree is preferred.
Previous ADP Enterprise and e-Time experience preferred.

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.

Annual compensation is based on a 40 hour week
