Mission: An integral member of the finance team with a focus and primary concentration on the entire accounts receivable process. You will work closely with the Controller to support the accounts receivable, invoicing, collections and general accounting for the company. The Senior Accountant will handle various day-to-day accounting functions to accommodate segregation of duties and improve efficiency.
Outcomes: • Manage customer invoicing, outstanding invoices, and work directly with customers on collection matters and dispute resolutions • Accurately record and apply receipts; coordinate bank deposits as needed • Maintain bookings, churn and backlog schedules • Manage revenue recognition for all new sales and existing customer contracts • Maintain client data on Salesforce.com, specifically Contracted Value and Products data as well as verifying contract completeness before updated opportunity status on closed bookings • Assist with the month-end close by performing general ledger journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations related to accounts receivable and revenue recognition • Develop, implement and maintain A/R systems, procedures and policies • Seek opportunities for process improvements to improve efficiency and/or accuracy of our accounting processes • Assist in projects and daily administrative tasks as needed • Serve as a trusted partner to customers through timely resolution of needs, effective communication, and knowledge sharing surrounding best practices
Requirements: • B.S. degree in Accounting with 3-5 years accounting experience • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software • Strong computer and business solutions software skills • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of Intacct and Salesforce software applications a plus • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work • Honesty/Integrity • Collaborative to foster teamwork • Trusted partner and advisor: shows confidence, humility, and good judgment • Customer service mentality: effective listener, responsive and proactive • Self-starter: goal oriented and accountable
