Responsible to ensure orders are accurately maintained and updated within the transportation management system (TMS) and works with carriers to gather information and confirm timely delivery of loads.
Associate's Degree (Preferred) Logistics
Supply Chain Management, Sales or related area preferred.
One year experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, sales, customer service or related area.
Experience with Mercury Gate software preferred.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Schedule appointments with carriers, enter/update orders, and document carrier information in the transportation management system (TMS) in a timely and accurate manner.
Confirm timely delivery of loads dispatched via phone calls or email (primarily phone) with carriers through regular check-ins between pick-up and delivery.
Communicate changes, issues or status updates regarding deliveries to the team and/or management and work cross-functionally with the Logistics team or carrier to resolve issues that may arise (i.e., routing issues, late delivery, etc.).
Ensure a detailed understanding of service issues or other carrier issues, and work with team to address and resolve.
Partner with the Load Planning team to maintain carrier master lists and assigned carriers for specific lanes.
Assist Accounts Receivables in the collection process for past due invoices for carrier load coverage.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills. Must have effective organization and problem-solving skills. Must be detail oriented and have good data entry skills. Ability to work in a fast paced team environment. Must maintain regular attendance and be present at work to communicate and interact with customers and co-workers. Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.) required; experience with a transportation management system preferred. Must be able to participate in on-call rotation.
