Oconomowoc Residential Programs Therapist in Indianapolis, Indiana
Provide therapy/case management to a diverse population to include youth with emotional and behavioral impairments and/or moderate developmental disabilities/intellectual disabilities. Employee will maintain compliance with external entities with documentation and reporting requirements. Employee is responsible for conducting individual, group and family therapies that are consistent with the youth in care. The therapist functions as a collaborative participant in the multidisciilinary approach to care. The therapist serves as a support to other disciplines providing services to youth in care. The therapist should have an understanding of Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT and experience with group dynamics. Therapists at TAI oftentimes are the communication link to parents/guardians and referral entities, and as such should be able to represent the core values of TAI and demonstrate a clear understanding of the approach to care. This includes managing risk, communicating parental and referral concerns and ensuring documentation of events occurs timely and with a sense of urgency.
Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other related field from an accredited program.
Licensed or licensed eligible.
Possess sufficent clinical background with specialization in clinical theories pertinent to children and adolescents.
Experience in a residential treatment facility (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work effecitvely with a range of constituencies.
Experience in individualized treatment plan development.
Strong documentation of session events completed timely.
Ability to navigate previous history with current history for a global understanding of dynamics.
Sense of urgency with addressing critical needs of youth.
Focus on individualized approach to care in all areas of clinical treatment.
Consideration is given to applicants who demonstrate the ability to be somewhat flexible in scheduling in order to fully accommodate treatment needs of youth and family.
Must possess valid Indiana driver's license and auto insurance.
Minimum 21 years of age.
