Dow has exciting job opportunity for a Production Operator in Kendallville, IN.
The Production Operator will primarily operate mixers, mills, weigh-up and extruders according to production Standard Operating Procedure's (SOP), equipment/process and associated tasks.
• Weigh-up, mix, and mill rubber according to the process order and SOP specifications, including run times.• Meet ISO requirements such as WI-059 SOP Tolerance and WI-61 Weigh-Up Tolerance.• Operate primary and associated equipment safely and efficiently according to equipment and process SOP.• Follow production schedule sequence.• Maintain housekeeping per the 5S program.• Complete assigned training as required including safety meetings.• Miscellaneous other production-related tasks as assigned on an as-required basis.• Operate extruders when required to maintain productivity and extruder uptime.• Cooperate with the Production Representative and QA/Reliability on questions or corrective actions.
The Dow Chemical Company does not offer relocation assistance for this position. This includes reimbursement for travel expenses incurred to and from test sessions/interviews. • Must be willing and able to work 2nd (3pm-11pm)• Complete multiple tasks and see them through completion.• Work independently, with excellent time management and judgment in prioritization skills.• React rapidly to evolving issues and dynamic scheduling situations with utmost discretion.• Collaborate effectively in team, department, or other work group situations.• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.• Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
