Bona Vista Programs Inc. Director of Maintenance and Safety in KOKOMO, Indiana

Efficiently direct and monitor building, including all housing and maintenance of the agency in compliance withOSHA, CARF and other applicable standards ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction. Maintain asafe environment in all locations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Manage Bona Vista Maintenance Services in an efficient, cost effective manner for both externalcustomers and Bona Vista sites.2. Manage the agency maintenance operations to ensure a clean, safe environment protecting thephysical assets of the corporation. Supervise the Maintenance Technician, assign work orders andmonitor project completion.3. Participate as a contributing member of various agency committees including Personnel, DisasterRecovery, Record Retention and Safety Committee.4. Works with all external personnel to complete inspections and assessments of Bona Vista facilities.5. Secure quotes from external contractors for any needed building renovations. Oversee projectcompletion to ensure compliance with applicable building codes.6. Must be able to perform physical acts including but not limited to: measure rooms, calculate bids,communicate with staff and customers, travel to all agency buildings, conduct indoor and outdoorbuilding inspections and lifting up to 50 pounds.7. Ensure that employees follow all departmental and agency policies as well as state and federal laws.8. Manage security needs for both facility (e.g. access codes, cameras, lighting) to personnel (restrictedaccess) to enhance safety of facilities.9. Ensure all facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, ADA accessible manner focused on the quality of lifeissues for the consumers and staff. Develops a process for emergency notification from group andowned supported living homes on matters requiring immediate response.10. Work with agency personnel on agency owned housing properties.11. Oversee safety functions for the organization. Make sure all routine activities take place, such as:safety meetings, checks and inspections take place in necessary time frames to maintain all levels ofaccreditation.12. Annually review and update safety policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS1. Bachelor's or Associate Degrees preferred in business field. High School diploma or GED required orminimum of five years janitorial/maintenance experience with at least three years in a supervisorycapacity.2. Must be capable of training staff to operate/use normal and customary equipment utilized in ahousekeeping department such as a vacuum and proper use of cleaning suppliesFor more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
