Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions has an immediate opening in Lafayette, IN for a project engineer. This is with a large fortune 500 company and is a long term position.

The candidate will perform various functions to support 3500 Product Group. Initially the primary focus will be 3500 Rail, Industrial, and Machine engines. Projects may include: - Support BOM changes, releasing, change management (TeamCenter) - Engine model support (Pro-E or similar desired) - Virtual Design Review Audit (VDRA) / Virtual Build / Engineering Change Request (ECR) issue resolution - Support component engineering teams through fit-up of prototype parts onto engines - Support platform engineering team analyzing engine data collected from field (Supercom/PLE) - Support platform engineering in organizing customer information, including fleet profile, operating conditions, engine failure summaries, etc.. (Map and Crate) - NPI and CPI support

Candidates fresh out of college to candidates with 10 years of experience would be considered for this role.

Typical Day

80% office / design work 20% factory / shop interaction

Education Requirement

4 year Bachelors of Engineering minimum in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
