Strategic Innovation Manager

job summary:

The Strategic Innovation Manager is a high impact, self-starter, entrepreneurial leader critical to our high growth future. This position is based in Merrillville, Indiana, and will report to our Head of Strategic Marketing.

The Strategic Innovation Manager will lead the front-end innovation to identify the top corporate growth platforms to accelerate our growth portfolio. The Strategic Innovation Manager will lead the translation of consumer trends to key innovation initiatives for our aligned with its strategy. For the selected top growth platform/s, the Innovation Manager will also be responsible to lead the key innovations through the stage gate process through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Utilize best practice marketing tools to gain future trends in markets and translate them to potential growth projects.

  • Strong primary and secondary market research skills. Acquire new customers or expand relationships with existing customers to identify unmet needs through voice of customer.

  • Lead the front end innovation and growth portfolio management for Monosol.

  • Identify, develop and launch new market development programs (utilizing the Stage-Gate process) that will result in the realization of new business for the company. Focus will be on generating new market opportunities leveraging new growth technology platform/s.

  • Develop and deliver market activation strategies through collaboration with internal partners especially sales and product management. Execute successful product launches by creating necessary documentation, support materials, and training for sales. Partner with sales to drive new product sales in key accounts.

  • Support and manage external events and tradeshows to generate awareness of Monosol's Innovation and engagement amongst customers and prospects.

  • Influence cross functional resources against highest value opportunities through rigorous project management

  • Build relationships and partnerships with key external parties

  • Any additional duties as defined by the Head of Strategic Marketing

  • Travel is required for market validation and customer discovery engagements.
