Other duties may be assigned.1. Deliver consistent, high-quality service and interact courteously and professionally with all internal and external customers and maintain strict confidentiality in all bank matters. 2. Develop and maintain relationships with realtors and builders and people of influence with the purpose of originating mortgages from referrals by these individuals.3. Complete a call report for each call made to a realtor or office, containing the date, purpose, and results of the call as well as any necessary follow-up action.4. Represent and advocate MutualBank in the community through participation in professional, not-for-profit and trade associations.5. Interview customers to obtain necessary loan information and complete required application documentation; work with loan processors to ensure timely completion of loan documents and coordinate loan closing. 6. Possess and use assertive sales and service skills, actively matching customer need to all Bank products and services.7. Meet bank objectives for the cross selling of other Bank and subsidiary products, particularly debt protection. 8. Cover a loan counselorandrsquo;s desk inside the Bank as needed.9. Maintain a broad knowledge and thorough understanding of Federal regulations, policies and procedures and the regulatory framework in which the bank operates as well as current lending/closing trends, underwriting requirements and new loan programs. SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS A valid driverandrsquo;s license, good driving record and proof of insurance are required. This position may require some irregular hours and/or working on weekends.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalency is required, plus additional training or education equal to two years college along with one to three years of relevant experience. This position will serve as a link with the home-base county and surrounding areas to solicit and obtain high quality mortgage loan applications and related bank product/service relationships. This person must have a strong desire to work in a sales capacity, actively calling on customers outside of the bank facility on a regular basis. Knowledge of the lending function and underwriting guidelines is pertinent, as are strong interpersonal and negotiating skills. A contract identifying goals for production will be used to determine commission income.
