Job Details:Sign on Incentive Available Scope of Care:The goal of the Medical Oncology department is to provide continuous, efficient care to patients requiring services for cancer or hematologic diseases. The department is dedicated to supportive services that meet the needs of the patient population served in the least obtrusive way possible. This is accomplished through a multi-disciplinary approach that is progressive and tailored to each patient's need. Position and Purpose:After the patient's plan of care has been determined by the team leader (RN), the Nursing Assistant performs various designated patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort and safety of the patient in accordance with Hospital Policy and Nursing Service Standards. Performs general clerical duties and patient centered activities in a hospital nursing unit. Education/Experience High school graduation or equivalency.One year direct patient care experience with successful completion of competency exam, completion of one semester of clinicals in nursing program or relative experience and/or training, or completion of nursing assistant certification required.CPR certification recommended.Completes annual skill validations as well as safety and infection control procedures.
