AEL-Span, llc Special Projects Coordinator in Plainfield, Indiana

AEL-Span, LLC a progressive and rapidly growing Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider is looking for a qualified Special Projects Coordinator for our operation in Plainfield, Indiana. This facility has 31 dock doors and has a staff of approximately 60 team members. The Special Projects could include multiple items including Inventory Management, Inbound and Outbound functions. We are looking for the right person who shares our philosophy of Operational Excellence on a daily basis.

Qualified candidates must have supervisory experience in all aspects of warehousing, including:

  • Maintain strong 5S results for cleanliness and organization in all work areas.

  • Effectively coordinate receiving priorities.

  • Ensure quality is adhered to for repack and shipping.

  • Ensure all product is correctly located (physically and in WMS).

  • Enforce optimization of stacking, cubing and staging pallets.

  • Maintain productivity logs and end of shift reports

  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

    AEL-SPAN?s primary objective is to deliver the right part, to the right place, at the right time. The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for the operation.

We are looking for a team player who thrives on providing excellent customer service and adherence to policies and procedures. Candidates must possess strong computer knowledge, and excellent people management skills. Previous supervisory experience is a must, and automotive and material handling experience is a definite plus.

Qualified candidates must be dependable, responsible, and able to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment. This position will require direct interaction with the customer.

Additional key qualifications include:

  • SAP experience a plus. At a minimum a strong aptitude for learning and understanding basic use of WMS platforms.

  • Inventory management ability. High aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving inventory discrepancies.

  • Quality experience. Basic understanding of root cause analysis.

  • Strong Excel capabilities, including pivot tables, lookups, graphs and charts.

  • Ability to track and maintain progress toward goals and action items.

  • Excellent people management skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both internal and external.

  • Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing Principles.

  • Experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions. Ability to manage people across a large facility, ensuring team members are productive and safe, while promoting communication and teamwork.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; experienced and well-spoken in front of customers and large groups.

  • Automotive experience preferred..
