Reid Health Pharmacy Technician in Richmond, Indiana
The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and is responsible for the technical functions of the department’s management of pharmaceutical services.
Utilizes vaious pharmacy informatics systems, such as Siemens/Cerner Pharmacy, Omnicell, and QS/1.
Prepares medications in the Inpatient Pharmacy through utilization of technology such as carousel, strip labeling and packaging machines.
Prepares IV's using barrier isolators and proper aseptic techniques.
Restocks medications in Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets.
Experience Preferred: At least 2 years as a Pharmacy Technician.
Licensure: Indiana Pharmacy Technician license (or elegibility to attain a license).
Certifications: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board licensure (PTCB) which must be obtained within 5 years of accepting position.
Varied Shift. 36 hours weekly.
