Kelly is looking for 2 nd Shift Rubber Manufacturing Operator for a facility in Shelbyville, IN. Second Shift 3:00pm - 11:00pm Monday - Friday @ $16.58 / hour, shift diff after training.

Job duties include:

  • Perform equipment changeovers and confirm molding conditions.

  • Confirm 1st cycle quality checks.

  • Identify abnormal defects and situations and follow reaction plan.

  • Perform tool cleaning as required.

  • Confirm quality at each set-up.

  • Investigate and permanently countermeasure defects and abnormal situations.

  • Troubleshoot press set-ups.

  • Perform daily housekeeping duties.

  • Accept responsibility to economically produce the best possible quality.

  • Perform all functions in accordance with TS16949 Work Instructions and Environmental Management System Requirements.

  • Perform all duties according to safety practices and report any non-conformance.

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

Note: This position requires incumbent MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SET UP, MOLD CLEAN, AND PRESS OPERATION AS BUSINESS NEEDS REQUIRE and also be able to work in a relatively fast paced environment with hi-tech equipment. The success of the injection dust cover process is greatly dependent upon the skills and abilities of the Injection Dust Cover Set-up Operator. Previous experience and/or a good understanding/knowledge of the injection dust cover process would not only be beneficial but also preferred in this position. This is a Temp to Hire position with a pay increase upon hire and at 6 months and 1 year.


  • Must have good mechanical ability, mechanical knowledge, and trouble shooting skills.

  • Must be able to be on feet the entire shift.

  • Must be able to perform heavy lifting (70 pounds, 450°F Tools), routine bending and stretching.

  • Must have acceptable safety and attendance record.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.


  • Must remain in specific job classification for a minimum of 12 months.
