Job Type:100% ReimbursedJob Posting Title:Warehouse Technician/ DriverJob Description Summary:To insure the coordinating of all inbound and outbound movements of company trailers between the plant warehouse and the offsite warehouse.Job Description:SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Insure compliance to all Cardinal and safety rules, OSHA and DOT regulations - Inspect trailers daily to verify condition meets criteria set by PolyOne for loading and unloading. - Safely shuttle trailers from the plant to the warehouse May conduct receiving and put away activity when material handler is not available to unload trailers. - Building, equipment and supplies Conduct daily equipment check lists. Notify Supervisor of low inventory of supplies needed in warehouse. Perform routine maintenance within the work area. Make sure all trucks and trailers are in safe and operational order. Notify Warehouse Supervisor of all repairs necessary to keep equipment in safe operational order. - This position will involve general warehouse assignments to include, but not limited to, moving product into appropriate slotting within the warehouse and production floor. - Operator will pick parts for use in production and/or pack and prepare products to be shipped. - Ensure communication occurs with all peers in a polite and professional manner. - Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. - Ability to maintain a positive attitude and team focus. - Directly responsible for ensuring a clean and clear work area for teammates to fully perform their job duties and our expectations.QUALIFICATIONS: - Education: Possess a high school degree or an approved GED. - Possess a valid CDL Drivers license and pass DOT physical and drug test. - Experience: 2-5 years experience in the field or in a related field with a current CDL Drivers License. - Must be proficient in SAP as it relates to the job functions - Be certified by CandW Services to operate a forkliftREQUIREMENTS: - Must be comfortable joining Union upon hire. - Must be comfortable supporting a 10a -7:30pm shift. - Requires Class A CDL - Hasmat endorsement is desired.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
