Parkview North Hospital Patient Access Services Representative in Warsaw, Indiana
Summary
Functions as a Patient Access Services Representative in processing registrations for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room patients.
Responsibilities
Conduct professional patient interviews to obtain demographic, financial and biographical information.
Process registrations in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence; and adheres to the Parkview Health Standards of Behavior.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Medical Terminology preferred.
Experience
Prefer two years of clerical experience, including proficiency of Microsoft Windows. Requires a minimum of two years customer service.
Other Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
Ability to multi-task and work independently by using critical thinking skills.
Training
Must attend the required Patient Access Services training class and must pass test upon completion with a score of 90% or better. The training class will be two weeks in length and will require working full-time day shift hours during that timeframe. There will be an additional two weeks of training to follow.
