Then come join our growing Team! Gibson’s Heating & Plumbing is currently seeking a professional, customer service oriented Service Coordinator with a background in customer service. This key position uses creative thinking and strategic planning to maximize service revenue by improving efficiency and managing our customer expectations to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction while achieving department success.

The Big Task

You will learn the skillsets of 14-16 Service Technicians so that you can manage their daily schedule and dispatch them to their jobs. You will ensure that the right technician is sent to the right job to improve the efficiency of the company and to manage our customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize creative thinking, strategic planning, and team work skills to ensure all customers taken care of by making sure the best technician to each job

  • Balancing logistics with skillset to ensure the best technician is sent

  • Utilize problem-solving skills to make decisions to prioritize and dispatch technicians to take care of customers as soon as possible

  • Communicate with Service Technicians after each job to input job summary information into our computer software

  • Constantly staying up-to-date on special ordered parts to get Service Technicians back out to our customers’ homes in a timely manner

  • Working closely with Customer Service Representatives, Warehouse, and Service Technicians to maintain a smooth operation

  • Make outbound calls to schedule routine maintenance for our Service Partner Plan Members

  • Assisting Customer Service Representatives by answering phones and booking service calls

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Excellent Attendance Record!

  • Be detail oriented and a highly organized multi-tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment.

  • High School degree or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree in OLS, Hospitality, Communications, ore related field is preferred, but not required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) with ability to learn quickly new software applications

  • Excellent problem-solving skills; able to work independently with little supervision

  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to multi-task and excel in a fast paced, and rapidly changing, environment.
